Here is an addendum to the above question: The other survey appeared in my map, but I don't know how it got added. Also, below is a screen shot of my table of contents. What are the bottom 2 files? How did they get there & OK to delete? Thanks again, Ca.

Those are the underlying metadata tables for the two surveys you have loaded into your session, DO NOT DELETE THEM.
