LGIM and Community Maps

When contributing data to the community maps program, I have noticed on some differences between the Local Government Information Model and the information needed for the data prep tools to work. For example there is not field in landscape features to identify why type of feature it is to create a sports field. Has there been any discussions with the local government group to change so both programs are 100% compatible? Some changes would make contributions easier.

Thank you for your question! While the Community Maps Program used the Local Government Information Model in the past for contribution, we've since evolved that model to better fit the needs of the program. We've made changes to optimize tasks such as data loading and map creation. If your data is already in the Local Government model it should be quick and easy to run the Community Maps Data Prep Tools.
