I need to generate multiple layouts to export as maps in pdf. Adding a new map frame to the layout takes up to 5 minutes. I've tried different methods - having only one layout view in my project, saving the project before adding a new map frame, adding a new map frame to the existing layout and then connecting the legend and scale bar with the new frame. Everything else works fine and fast, just adding a map frame takes ages. I have 5 layers active on my map which are simple line or polygon feature layers. Does anyone else have the same problem or any ideas of what might be the problem?
