Visual Studo 2010 all templates missing

i've installed arcgis desktop, sdk for .net framework, and SDK .net SP2. But visual studio 2010 templates are missing. Any suggestions?

should i install SDK .net sp3? even though server isn't up to that version yet.

That is correct!
I did come across reading somewhere that 10.1 would include 2010 express comparability as well.

I think it will be VS 2010 only with 10.1.

Unless something has since changed, the 10.0 and 10.1 Deprecation document stated:

"ArcGIS 10.0 is the last release that the ArcObjects SDK for Microsoft .NET will support Visual Studio 2008."

"ArcGIS 10.1 ArcObjects SDK for Microsoft .NET will no longer support Visual Studio 2008. Esri recommends using Visual Studio 2010 for ArcObjects development for ArcGIS 10.1."

Also, if poloboy13 happens to read this -- which solution solved your problem?

If you happen to be using the VS Express edition, the 10.0 SDK for .net Framework installer only supports VS 2008 (not 2010).

When you open a new project, make sure you chose .NET Framework 3.5
