Displaying a map scale bar in KM not MI

Question

I have created a Web Map and a Web Mapping Application.  On my computer the scale bar is displaying in KM, and I have changed the units to Metric for the Organization.

However when the maps are posted to the web I continue to see the scale bar in KM, however my colleagues in the same organization are seeing the scale bar in MI.

Can someone explain why this is occurring, is there another setting I need to change?

Did you verify that the users in your organization have their profile set correctly?

If they are anonymous users, I believe the units are based on the location of the machine they are using.

Can you share the URL to your map?

A member can override the setting in their own profile. Have them check there.

If the public were to view the map, which is the goal as it will be posted on the web, they will see it in miles and not km.

The reason I noted the other people in my organization is that we are on the same server and location and it is displaying differently.  I was thinking the mi/km might appear differently depending on the server the user is accessing the map from.
