Installing Geoevent on Amazon Ubuntu machine?

Is it possible to install the Geoevent processor on an Ubuntu AMI on Amazon EC2?
I tried using the ArcGIS ami but receive the following error:

# ./Setup.sh
Please wait while ArcGIS 10.2.1 GeoEvent Processor for Server is being installed...
A valid product for this setup was not detected.

  * Valid product: ArcGIS 10.2.1 for Server

This install will now exit.

Yes, you should be able to install ArcGIS 10.2.1 GeoEvent Processor for Server on an Ubuntu AMI on Amazon EC2.  You need to make sure ArcGIS 10.2.1 for Server is already installed on the machine, and install GeoEvent Processor with the same user that ArcGIS Server is installed, or as the Super User.  The supported operating system is Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-bit.
