Smart Editor limit editable features to a subset of all features

Question

I'm using the Smart Editor and want to know if it's possible to limit the editable features to a subset of all features available. for instance, I have a status field with multiple values: open, closed, archived. The feature should be editable until status is set to archived. At that point it should be read-only. Any idea if this is possible?

are your features hosted on AGO? You could try creating a feature layer view, changing it's visualization to only show open and closed features, and making that feature layer view editable.

The functionality you're asking for is not possible. It might be possible with some custom development, but not with out-of-the-box functionality. Security on feature services depends on how you've configured security on both your GIS Server and ArcGIS Online organization/Portal for ArcGIS (if applicable).
