Catch "ArcMap Drawing Errors" in ArcGIS Engine

If you define a Definition Query in a map document, and that query has a syntax error, ArcMap will display an ArcMap Drawing Errors window. Is there a way to identify drawing errors like this in an ArcGIS Engine application?
