How to find a point on a polyline

Hello superiors：

good morning，now I have a question, please lost you several minutes , thansk very much.

Q:  there is  a polyline (look at  pic  )  , the begin  is  A point, the end is E point, the polyline  info is known, now   user  input  a  length （maybe  100 m），how  can  I  find  the point  F  in  the polyline （means  AB +BC+CD+DF  = 100m），and  highlight the find  path （AF is another color）

Make sure the route is M enabled. Then display route events either as point events, to find the particular place at the polyline. Or display as Line event, with start and end point measure to highlight the selected path.
