KML to SHP Error using latest Google Earth

Hello, I am getting an error when using Jason Parent's Script (http://arcscripts.esri.com/details.asp?dbid=15603) to convert Google Earth KML files into ArcGIS Shapefiles using the latest version of Google Earth. Running script kml_to_shp... Extracting POLYGON feature data from KML file... File "", line 117, in : empty string for float() Completed script kml_to_shp... Failed to execute (kml_to_shp). I ran the script on two different systems (one WinXP, the other Win 7) running the same ArcGIS 9.3 software, but where one used the latest Google Earth (vs. 5.2.1.1588) and the other a slightly older version (vs. 5.1.3535.321). KML files created on the older version of Google Earth run smoothly, but KML files created on the latest version of Google Earth run into the above error on either system. Would anyone know how to solve it?

Hello,

I had a line shapefile that i took into kml,verified that via google earth,now I am using ARCGIS 9.3"quick import tool" to convert polylines in kml format to shapefile...It reads some features while leaves other features.The error says:

"The xml module halted on error,see logfile for details
Error encountered while reading a new node
Error reading feature from dataset"

Can anyone explain what the error is about and how can be corrected?
