Creating a profile graph without 3D anlyst tools

I want to create a profile graph of a proposed bicycle trail in my county, however we do not have a 3D analyst license. I have elevation contour data for the trail area. Is there a way to accomplish this without having to purchase a 3D analyst license?

Joey - one way to do this is using the free ArcGIS Earth application along with the Interactive Analysis tools for Elevation Profile. Granted, you have to screen digitize for bike trail but it does create an elevation profile rather quickly and does not require a 3D Analyst extension.
