Hello, I have been searching for a shapefile for the whole of the African continent for a class project, but I could not find one. Does anyone know where to find one?

Hi, there are a few places you can find something like this.

Go here: http://www.maplibrary.org/library/stacks/Africa/index.htm and click on "ESRI Shape file format" link. That should give you a zipped up shapefile of all country outlines.

You can also load in data from ArcGIS Online, especially the living atlas. Try this link for all continents:

This doesn't reflect the most current country boundaries though! South Sudan is not included...
