Hello everyone,
I would like to do a similar arrow symbology as the attached map has. Is there a way to do this in arcMap 10.1? I would even like to have the width of the arrow end to represent proportionally to a larger/smaller population (bigger width means more people migrating and small width means less people migrating) but have the base of the arrow still come out of a point. I would love to learn how to do this. Any help is appreciated.

Unless something has changed, you need to use Photoshop or Gimp or something similar to add this type of symbology to a map.
I'm interested to hear if anyone else has a better way!
