Maps for Sharepoint "Esri Maps Location" Column has Blank "Location Settings"

Hi. I am trying to add an "Esri Maps Location" field to a list (with x,y coordinates) in sharepoint and I do not have any options under the "Location Settings." Does anyone know what is missing in our configuration or in our data? Thanks!
