is it ok to develop ipad/iphone apps in arcgis for flex api?

I want to develop the application for the ios devices like ipad2, iphone4 in arcgis for flex api. yesterday the flex 4.5 has been released, the official say the flex 4.5 support ios and android, so i don't know whether it's ok to develop ipad/iphone apps in arcgis for flex api. any suggestion will be appreciated.

Yes, it's OK. This is just another feature of the Adobe Flash Builder 4.5.1 that Adobe plans to release in June - which will support compiling Flex apps to native iOS apps.

Apple iOS doesn't support Flash, but I have heard of people getting AIR running. You might want to search the web for Adobe Air and iOS compatibility.

Today I find the arcgis for flex 2.3.1 cannot bed used in the actionscript mobile project. Because there are many class can be found in common flex project but not found in mobile flex project. I hope some day ESRI can provide mobile-based arcgis api for flex.

I tried 4.5 (preview) on an iPhone and Android phone.
They were both slow, but very slow on the iPhone. Not so much the mapping, but simple GUI business!

I have not done anything with the IOS yet, but I was able to use the FLex API to develope an app for an Android phone. It works well, I used the geolocator api in flex 4.5 to auto pan the map. FB 4.5 has an iOS packager, and I know you can deploy to an iOS device. I have not checked to see how the touchscreen capabilities work with the Flex API though. I would think that would be my main area of concern.
