Layer updates from web apps

Question

I created a layer on desktop and published it on AGOL and I have put the layer in a web app that can be edited. Does the origional layer on AGOL update as the app updates? Do other apps with the same layer update? If not how do I manually do that to keep all apps with the same layers up to date.

Hi Cameron,

As you will be editing a layer that is referenced by other apps, all of the apps will see the edits made to the dataset.
