The Dutch data models for Roads, Water, Electricity, Sewer, etc. contain many fields. Creating hosted feature layer views helps to limit the number of fields, but often CAD users find the need to only work with a subset of those fields and want to filter the fields in the attribute editor, similar to using layer states in the layer manager in AutoCAD. For example, in a HLD phase, a CAD user only has to fill out 4 of the 20 fields, in a detailed design phase 8 out of 20 and during construction yet another selection of fields.
It would also improve their productivity if an engineer could find the relevant fields quickly in a long list of fields if they could search for field names, using familiar wild card searches, instead of scrolling through the long list of fields. See attached screenshot where many fields are not relevant for the CAD user and the list of fields is very long; they always need to use the scrollbar to navigate them.
