What is the most effective way to link users to a new survey from an old survey?

I am new to using survey123. I inherited an old observation submission survey that needed a lot of major updates, so I ended up recreating it as a new survey with the features and fields I wanted. I am now ready to roll that new survey out. I have never "unpublished" an existing survey from survey123. Is there a way to make the old survey automatically redirect to the new one automatically or something similar to that? Is my best bet to just publish the new survey, update the URLs on our website to it, email staff, and hope that our non-staff users will figure out that the old survey no longer exists?

If your users are accessing the survey only via the web, and not the Survey123 app, then I usually take the following steps:

1. Close the old survey (Collaborate → Share survey → Survey status).
2. Once closed, you will see a new field into which you can enter a message to be displayed to folks that open the old survey's URL. Put in a some explanatory text and a link to your new survey's URL, which they can click on.
3. Change all of the published references you can find for the old survey to point to the new survey.
