is it possible to model ecotope in rewetting peatland areas? What I want to predict is approximately the vegetation change when I close draining ditches. So I calculated "sinks" with the fill tool on a dem to get open water areas, then I use flow accumulation with the MFD option as "profile flow" values before and after closing the ditches. In the theory of Ivanow 1975 (I think it is in "Water Movement in Mirelands") there are potential transmissivity values which allows you to define ecotope in peatlands. For example a potential transmissivity of 0,5 cm²/s are peatland forests and after 3 cm²/s there should be sparse woody peatland ecotopes. I belive potential transmissivity is calculated as profile flow (in my case flow accumulation with MFD?)/ slope. But now, if I calculate the potential transmissivity of the area with the existing status I can't find that open areas with sparse woody peatland roughtly fit to any values of my potential transmissivity values. Any ideas how to calculate this potential transmissivity or ecotope in peatlands with spatial analyst extension (ArcGIS Pro 3.4.3)?
