Metadata editing would be much easier for our publishers if we could remove the fields they don't need to worry about from the UI. It would be even better if we could arrange the fields in a way that makes more sense to the users. Right now, the structure seems to depend on the technical implementation of the standard (i.e. the structure in the XML).
Details: We are using the metadata editor in Portal and one of the pre-defined styles (ISO 19139). However, we are not using all of the optional attributes offered by the style. As we cannot customize the form, we need to instruct our publishers about what fields they need to complete and which ones they should ignore.
