On August 24th, 2026, Esri Community migrated to a new community platform technology. What does that mean?
Online communities are almost always hosted on third-party platform technologies that specialize in supporting a community-driven experience. Esri Community does the same, but we tailor the branding, structure, and feature sets to create an offering that’s uniquely Esri.
You get the benefit of the same dedicated Esri Community team plus a new technology framework that’s designed to be familiar, while introducing some improvements and an infrastructure ready for the future. Even though our team strived to align all valuable feature sets, it’s also important to recognize that there are some key differences between this new platform and the one Esri Community had previously been hosted on going back to 2020.
