I have published some hosted tile layers (imagery) to AGOL from ArcGIS Pro by sharing the imagery layer (not the whole map) to a web layer, and selecting the 'Tile' option. I have configured it to cache locally so that it builds the .tpkx file locally, before uploading it an publishing that to a 'Tile Layer (hosted)'.
This results in a tile layer with a sublayer. Ie, if my layer was published with the name 'ABC', it appears in the map table of contents as a group layer, 'ABC' which contains a sub-layer, also called 'ABC'. Unlike with hosted feature layers, there is no way for me to move that sublayer out of its group layer.
This makes the layers list on maps and in Experience Builder look silly. Not only this, but it makes them difficult to use, especially when I want to use several of these tile layers within an overall group configured with exclusive visability. The user has to expand all the subgroups before they can select a layer to view (or in Experience Builder, I have to set all the layers to be expanded, and it looks ridiculous.
One of our users publishes such layers developed in SiteScan (from drone imagery capture). When pushing these from SiteScan to AGOL, also as 'Tile Layer (hosted)', they come across without any sublayers, and it looks way better in the Table of Contents or layers lists than the ones published by ArcGIS Pro. Much better for our end-users.
Is there a way to publish imagery from ArcGIS Pro to a 'Tile Layer (hosted)' that does not have the sublayer and does not appear like a group layer in AGOL Map Viewer or Experience Builder layers list?
