ArcGIS Workforce is retiring Q4 of 2026 and here are some resources!

Just a quick reminder that ArcGIS Workforce is retiring this fall (Q4), specifically from:

• ArcGIS Online in the Release 3 of 2026
• ArcGIS Enterprise 12.2

If your organization is still using Workforce to assign, coordinate, and see the progress fieldwork, now is the time to start planning your transition.

The good news is that the capabilities Workforce introduced haven't gone away. They have evolved into the  Tasks functionality in ArcGIS Field Maps, designed in a much more flexible way to manage field assignments.

If you haven't explored Tasks yet, we encourage you to take a look. Tasks supports the same workflows as Workforce while also providing additional configuration options to really tailor to your individual projects and achieve tighter integration with the rest of the ArcGIS system.

I have emailed ArcGISWorkforce@esri.com but wanted to ask here as well, 

 am working on transitioning my current election requests workflow to field maps tasks. 

 

I want to use the same hosted feature layer as it already has a survey123 connected to it and custom URLs for ease of use. 

 

 

Question- Will this feature layer also depreciate when workforce is gone? Or will I still be able to use this layer?
