Many organizations use ArcGIS Enterprise as their primary GIS platform, and it would be great if ArcGIS Enterprise Dashboards could offer the same interactive map actions that are already available in ArcGIS Online Dashboards.
Current behavior
In ArcGIS Enterprise 12.1, interactive dashboard elements such as Category Selector, Pie Chart, Bar Chart, and other supported elements only provide the Filter action.
By comparison, ArcGIS Online Dashboards also support the following actions:
The ArcGIS Dashboards documentation states that these actions are only available when the element's data source is based on an ArcGIS Online hosted feature layer and are therefore unavailable in ArcGIS Enterprise.
Proposed enhancement
Please add support for the following actions in ArcGIS Enterprise Dashboards:
These actions should be available for the same dashboard elements that currently support them in ArcGIS Online, where applicable.
Why this matters
Many operational dashboards are designed to help users quickly identify and investigate features on a map. Today, selecting a category or chart can only filter the map, leaving users to manually navigate and search for the filtered features.
Supporting Zoom, Pan, Flash, and Show Pop-up actions would create a much smoother and more interactive experience by allowing users to immediately locate and inspect the selected features.
This enhancement would also improve feature parity between ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online, providing a more consistent dashboard experience for organizations that deploy ArcGIS Enterprise for security, infrastructure, or data governance requirements.
