The International Academy of Geoinformatics, together with its partners, uses such an interesting tool as ArcGIS Survey123. With the help of this application for collecting field information as part of preparing young people for national resistance in the Command and Staff Game "Cyberjura", relevant projects are already being implemented:
However, our own experience in using the application turned out to be insufficient and the HNIT-BALTIC group team (https://www.gisbaltic.eu/en-gb/home) volunteered to share with educators and mentors of CSG "Cyberjura" the developments in the Baltic States. Mr. Linas Gipiskis together with Mr.Agnė Matonienė (GIS analyst) and Mr.Vytautas Gipiskis (CTO) prepared a presentation with the agenda: "A brief introduction to Survey123 and important suggestions":
👉Key functions and capabilities (including reporting, integration with other ArcGIS applications and external systems such as MS Flow).
👉Form design methods.
👉Examples of Survey123 use in Lithuania:
- Transportation.
- Municipal property management and maintenance.
- Healthcare.
- Public safety.
- Cultural heritage
- Linguistic research.
- And some others.
At the same time, the Ukrainian side prepared its questions:
- Conducting field quests and Hybrid CTF / Cyberjura competitions.
- Creating mobile forms for OSINT-, GIS- and STEM-tasks.
- Survey123 integrations with ArcGIS Online and StoryMaps.
- QR-routing of teams and automatic collection of results.
- Geolocation, photo fixation and validation of field tasks.
- Building an evaluation system and automatic export of results.
- Using Survey123 for training military-applied scenarios and command-tactical games.
- Typical mistakes when organizing large student events through Survey123.
- Examples of real use cases in educational or security projects.
- Using artificial intelligence and configuring dashboards. In particular:
- building graphs and charts based on data samples from Survey123;
- filtering results by various criteria;
- creating interactive Dashboard elements;
- using category selectors, filters and actions;
- displaying results separately by teams, locations, stages or types of tasks.
