Pop-up field order correct in Map Viewer, but reverting to wrong order in Web App

Question

I am running into an issue in ArcGIS Online where the field order configured in my web map's pop-ups is being completely ignored by my web application. The data consists of a hosted feature layer containing seismic and moment tensor data published from ArcGIS Pro. Inside the modern Map Viewer, I went into the Pop-ups menu, opened the Fields list content block, and manually dragged all the attributes into my preferred, logical sequence using the design handles. I then explicitly saved the web map, verified that no duplicate content blocks exist in the pop-up layout, and even tested the live web application in a completely fresh Incognito window to rule out localized browser caching. Despite the pop-up displaying perfectly within the Map Viewer workspace, the moment I open the data inside the web app and click a feature, the attributes revert back to the wrong order, seemingly reverting to alphabetical or the raw database schema. I need to know what is actively overriding my web map's configuration inside the application interface and how I can force the app to strictly honor the visual layout and field order I built in the Map Viewer.

I tried exactly what you suggested. I went to the item page's Visualization tab, reordered the pop-up fields there, and saved it directly to the layer. Unfortunately, the app is still ignoring it.

I did notice something interesting, though. The layout I am trying to build in the pop-up menu is the exact original order I had set up in ArcGIS Pro. But when I look at the raw 'Fields' tab in AGOL, I can see the platform automatically reorganized my columns into alphabetical order during the upload. To make matters worse, that 'Fields' tab seems locked and it does not let me drag or manually reorder the values back to how they should be.

It looks like the web app is completely bypassing any pop-up configurations I make. It seems to be reading straight from that raw, alphabetized database schema instead. Have you ever run into this, or know of a setting that forces the app to look at the pop-up layout rather than the raw table?

It if is your layer, go to the item page and Visualisation, check if the layer has symbology etc. set. Usually anything you do in a map will over-ride the default set visualisation, however, with the June update in AGOL anything is possible.

Thanks for the immediate response and for the suggestion. I gave this a try this past week, and it definitely works to reset the order inside the Map Viewer workspace. The data looks correct there.

The issue seems to be isolated to the web application itself. When I open the live app, it completely ignores that saved Map Viewer configuration and reverts the fields back to the wrong order. It indicates that the application layer is somehow overriding the map's default settings.

Do you happen to know if there is a specific setting inside the app builder to force it to strictly honor the Map Viewer pop-up?
