Steepest Path in ArcGIS Pro

Hello,

I have been using the “Create Steepest Path” tool in ArcMap (3D Analyst) to generate, from a grid, the shortest path line starting from a point. I used it to represent the shortest flow path within a groundwater aquifer.

Since I can no longer use ArcMap, I tried to reproduce the same workflow in ArcGIS Pro using the same tool ("Steepest Path" in Exploratory 3D Analysis). However, the results are not the same: in ArcMap the output consisted of smooth, continuous curved lines, while in ArcGIS Pro I obtain segmented, straight-line paths.

Could you please help me understand why this difference occurs and how I can obtain results in ArcGIS Pro that are equivalent to those in ArcMap?

I'm working in Local Scene (2D Layer, which is where my grid is automatically positioned). I need it primarily for visualization. I don't need to perform any further analysis or data processing, I just want to display the steepest path results as clearly as possible.

* Are you working purely in 2D (map) or in a Scene (3D) in Pro?
* Do you need this for analysis or primarily for visualisation?
