I'd like to give a better title, but that's the most general I could make it. The discription below should help!
Issue: Something changes in the Portal, such as groups, and app users get errors that they don't have permission for a resource. Logging out and back in fixes the issue because the user information (e.g., Groups) is updated.
Example: I recently updated a a group in Portal to point to a new SAML Group. The group is otherwise unchanged and works as expected. When you make this change, the all users are removed from the group. As a result, users in Survey123 get permission errors. Even if a users is connected to the internet, the app caches old data, so the two are out of sync. Logging out and back in fixes the issue.
Fix: Either pull new credentials while connected to the internet, or kick the user out of the app (forcing them to log in), or maybe an admin control panel to forcably log all users out (again forcing them to log in again).
Extra: As an example for that third option, think of Apple, Steam, and (maybe?) Netflix. You can log in, go to settings, and click a button to focably log out all devices, thus making them log in again.
Business Reason: Help reduce/eliminate data loss (i.e., user fills in a form, trys to send, gets an error). Additinoally, this would cut down on awkward company-all emails and troublshooting, and in general just save time.
