Florida Atlantic University is seeking a GIS & Spatial Data Specialist - Boca Raton, FL.
As the GIS & Space Data Specialist, you’ll serve as the University’s technical lead for geospatial, floor plan, and facilities-related data, helping ensure that spatial information used across campus is accurate, integrated, and reliable. This role supports space utilization, facilities operations, wayfinding, and institutional planning by maintaining and advancing the University’s GIS and spatial data environment.
Day to day, this position focuses on managing and integrating GIS datasets, maintaining building and indoor space representations, producing maps and spatial analyses, and supporting the flow of spatial data into space inventory and facilities systems. You’ll collaborate with facilities, planning, space management, and technology partners, develop automation and data standards, and support projects that rely on high-quality spatial and infrastructure data. The work you do will directly inform campus operations, planning initiatives, and decision-making across the University.
