ArcGIS Collaboration with Paladin Drones Inc. for Public Safety (PD)

Hi All,

I spoke with Tom Sweet yesterday about Paladin Drones and how ArcGIS supports Drone Programs. He encouraged me to add a post in here for thoughts and feedback.

I am wondering if anyone has worked with, or is familiar with, Paladin Drone Inc. using ArcGIS to support and enhance the program. Any collaboration with ArcGIS to support flight planning, integrate GIS data into the drone view, or support scene development for investigations and incident analysis?

I hope you’re doing well, and thanks for reaching out with your questions. I’ve shared some thoughts and feedback below.

I haven’t directly worked with Paladin Drones, but I am generally familiar with their company and DFR products. Do they have their own flight planning application, do you use it? If not, what apps or workflows are you currently using for planning and data capture with Paladin drones? From what I understand, Paladin does not offer a public SDK, which prevents ArcGIS Flight (Esri’s mission planning application) from supporting their drones for mission planning.

That said, if your goal is to process imagery captured with Paladin drones, this data would be supported in our ArcGIS Reality products, such as Site Scan and Drone2Map.
