StoryMaps prompting sign-in despite organization-level sharing + content authentication errors

Hi everyone,

I have a StoryMap created about a year ago where everything (StoryMap, maps, and layers) is shared to my organization.

Recently, it started prompting users to sign into ArcGIS Online again when opening it, even if they’re already signed in.

I’m also seeing a “content authentication needed” warning when publishing, and it flags all maps and all the layers with “layer requires permission updates.”

Has anyone run into this before? What might be causing this if everything is already shared to the organization, and how can I fix it?

@SrinijaKonduru - I'm sorry you started having an issue with your story. If you are not able to share these items publicly, I would recommend that you contact Esri Support and they can help you troubleshoot further.

In the meantime, is it possible these layers are on an internal ArcGIS Server that has security enabled, or are they premium services from the ArcGIS Living Atlas? If so, there are some cases where you add layers to a map directly via URL where not enough information is available to provide access. You could try creating layers for these with embedded credentials or adding the Living Atlas layers from the layer items.
