Just like in this post from 2 years ago, publishing from ArcGIS Pro to ArcGIS Online is consistently getting hung up for me today on the "Uploading service definition" stage.
This was not a problem for me as recently as yesterday afternoon. Then this morning I updated to ArcGIS Pro 3.7 and now I am having the issue. Tried it multiple times with 2 completely different web layers.
This should be resolved now.

Yes this is a real thing. I cannot share tile packages either. However, I think this is an ArcGIS Online issue not a pro issue. I can share a 450MB image tile package to ArcEnterprise 12.0 in seconds. Where as trying to go to https://ourorg.maps,arcgis.com is completely hanging
Experiencing the same thing trying to publish web maps and I'm still on 3.6.4
Same issue. Colleague and I published to enterprise, but Online did not work.
