Hello,
I am trying to add static maps created in arcgis pro to a storymap via arcgis online. I get the error 'Sorry! There was a problem publishing your story' when I try to publish it to share here, so I cannot share the link.
When I add a colour .png static map (exported as .TIF from arcgis pro, converted to .png file) , it will load but only in an unclear black and white version (not a greyscale version of the image).
I frequently get the error message 'Sorry there was a problem uploading this file, please try again. If the problem persists..' when attempting to upload .TIF files (11.7MB, 6600x10200 pixel resolution) and .JPG files (13.1MB, 6600x10200 pixel resolution). Yesterday it let me upload the .JPG files, though they came out too blurry to be useful; today it will not. These meet the 50MB and 15,000 pixel limit as stated here https://doc.esri.com/en/arcgis-storymaps/latest/reference/faq.html#anchor14 .
In my tests, I did successfully add a smaller greyscale .png (539x369 resolution, 96 DPI) that was not distorted, but this resolution is too low for displaying our static maps.
When I try to attach screenshots to this post, i get the message 'you do not have permission to upload images'. Apologies. If anyone can help me with publishing the story or attaching screenshots, I will gladly share to be more helpful.
I would really like to be able to add the static maps in .TIF or .PNG formats so that they are clear and legible for our audience. The legend and labels are illegible when I am able to upload the .JPG files.
Thank you very much for your help!
