There has been a change in the Autodesk authorization request shown when using ArcGIS GeoBIM.
ArcGIS GeoBIM now requests Autodesk permissions more narrowly. Most GeoBIM workflows only require read-only access to Autodesk data. The only exception is creating Autodesk Issues, which requires write access.
As part of this change:
- ArcGIS GeoBIM now requests read-only authorization for standard workflows.
- ArcGIS GeoBIM now requests read-only authorization for the Experience Builder widgets, including Document Explorer, Link Explorer, and Document Viewer.
- When a user creates an Issue both from the GeoBIM Viewer app or Field Maps, they will be prompted to authorize with Autodesk for that specific action.
- That permission is used only for the Issue creation action and is removed immediately after.
The changes have already been implemented in ArcGIS Online, and no action is needed there.
For ArcGIS Enterprise, these changes will be delivered as patches for versions 12.0, 11.5, and 11.3 over the coming months. Once available, the patch will need to be installed.
