I have a large 300DPI pdf with small labels that are nice and crisp but when imported to Field Maps things get a blurry when zoomed in, verging on unreadable. It defeats the purpose of large area PDFs in there and no one cares if it takes several more seconds to import if that means its full resolution.
The MB size of the PDF and the download to Field Maps are the same, so it seems Field Maps simply imports or renders it at a lower DPI or something?
Sure, it's Esri Support Case #04130699. I sent them the blog post.
Hi @MaxMolello,
Are you able to send this to the Analyst on the Support Case Whats new in ArcGIS Field Maps (March 2026)
Are you able to share more details of the support case? (Number of the Case and if its Esri Support or Esri Distributor?)
Regards,
Glen
@GlenterpriseUK I've had a ticket open about this for a while now and their current response is GeoPDFs are not supported in Field Maps. It seems like there are some major disconnects in support vs Field Maps teams you might want to look into.
I just tried to reproduce what you mentioned above, and it seems like the rendering of the PDF on Field Maps is not as in a PC.
I think it would be better if you reach out to Esri Support for further troubleshooting or to get a confirmation if what you are seeing is an expected behaviour.
