It seems as though even if "Use in ArcGIS Field Maps" is unchecked in the document settings, they are visible in Field Maps' maps home page (see attached). This feels like an oversight, i would expect it to behave like other web maps where if you do not check use in Field Maps it does not show up in the app.
I haven't used this in AGOL but in Enterprise they show up if they are in a group you are part of. This is a good thing for us since Enterprise doesn't have that checkbox. But maybe mess with your groups the pdf is in?
@jtmouw_NCDOT did the PDF exist as an item before the new settings were introduced? If yes, this is a known limitation with the release.
To work around this limitation:
If you have a lot of PDF items that need to be updated, we are preparing a python script that you will be able to use to update these items in bulk.
These setting will be included in ArcGIS Enterprise 12.1 as well.
@JeffShaner, if we need a quick fix, is it correct to add the missing typeKeyword of "FieldMapsDisabled" to PDF items created prior to the ArcGIS OnlineFeb 2026 update, and which do not currently have the typeKeyword of "Geospatial PDF"? Thanks.
Sorry for the delayed response @PeterKnoop, yes. You can manually add the typeKeyword "FieldMapsDisabled" to PDF items previously uploaded.Use of the keywords at the 26.1 release:
With the 26.2 release coming in June, we will add a check fo rthe "Geospatial PDF" keyword as well.
