Hi,
We are experiencing performance issues specifically with the Esri World Imagery basemap in ArcGIS for AutoCAD.
When the basemap is enabled, we notice:
Very slow loading of imagery tiles
Frequent tile reloading while panning and zooming
Delays in redraw and navigation
Overall lag during drafting
The issue seems to occur even with a stable high-speed internet connection. The performance improves immediately when the basemap is turned off.
We would like to know:
Is this expected behavior for World Imagery in AutoCAD?
Are there recommended performance settings for basemaps in ArcGIS for AutoCAD?
Is there any way to cache or locally store basemap imagery to reduce tile loading?
Are certain Esri basemaps better optimized for AutoCAD environments?
We rely on imagery for layout production, so improving this workflow is important for our team.
Any guidance or best practices would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
