Address Data Management Solution and Unit Numbers

Question

I am wondering if the address data management solution will assign unit numbers or just assign an address to each location. I have a mall that is updated its addressing and unit numbers, and I am unfamiliar of the process of setting up the unit numbers at each business location in the mall. Is this something that the software decides, or is it usually the developer that will decide the unit numbers for a mall, apartment, etc.

@Cplagge_Brd I created a task that has the user first select the primary address for the property, the tasks copies the attributes from the primary address, the user adds the points for the secondary addresses, the task pastes the attributes from the primary to all the secondaries, and then the user then updates the unit type and unit IDs of the secondary addresses. They do they by selecting all the secondary addresses and setting the unit type and any other common attributes, but then they still have to manually enter the unit IDs.

Creating a task like that saves some time but does not auto assign the unit IDs.

@Cplagge_Brd, the Address Data Management solution will not auto assign unit numbers, it will only assign the address number. There are fields to define the unit information, but nothing is built in to automatically apply or increment these unit numbers.
