Survey123 would greatly benefit from a built‑in failover capability between ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online surveys to improve availability and resiliency. Currently, when Survey123 is hosted on ArcGIS Enterprise and the server is down (e.g., maintenance, outage, routing issues), the survey becomes completely unavailable, with no ability to redirect users or display a configurable outage message. A supported failover mechanism would allow organizations to automatically or manually redirect users to an alternate survey hosted on ArcGIS Online—or vice versa—and potentially even to a custom URL such as another survey platform or informational web page. This capability would be especially critical for public‑facing and operational surveys, enabling business continuity, better user experience, and improved reliability during outages.
