I have an experience with an edit widget. I would like pop-ups on non-editable layers and no pop-ups on items wired to the edit widget. Right now, when users select an editable item both the edit window and pop-up open.
I've been able to get this to work in the past by disabling in web map > enable selection tool in web map (enabled in Map widget tools) > click selection widget > click on the point. Not the perfect solution but may work for your workflow.
Thank you for clarifying. I will try out a couple things and let you know if I hit on a fix.
Disabling pop-ups in the web map prevents the selection from happening and firing the edit window.
In the EB apps where I have users performing edits, I have pop-ups enabled as well. To perform edits, users have to click on the edit widget, hit the select button, and then click on the target feature. In my case, this causes the edit pane to open instead of the pop-up window.
If you want to control which layers have pop-ups enabled, I believe you would disable pop-ups in the web map for the editable layers, not in the EB app. Some EB templates also allow the user to disable pop-ups for individual layers in the Map Layers widget, but it sounds like you would rather spare your users the effort.
