I would like group owners to be able to assign a new group owner directly, without requiring admin privileges, and optionally reassign themselves to a different group role (such as group manager or member). For example, a departing employee could transfer ownership to a colleague while retaining limited access for the remainder of their time at the organization. This functionality would support smoother offboarding and reduce the reliance on administrators for basic group management tasks. It would also help ensure that active groups always have an active owner.
