Job Summary
Performs technical work at the advanced level in the development and maintenance of geographic database and in the preparation of cartographic and other illustrative products utilizing geographic information systems (GIS) software. The work requires knowledge of database development and automated drafting techniques and procedures at the advanced vocational level. The scope of work is differentiated from the lower-level classification in that employees are responsible for the more complex assignments and projects.
Essential Functions
- Performs work assignments following established methods, techniques and procedures which are substantially diversified and usually involve differing situations based on functional or business area.
- Compiles complicated topographic and planimetric information to produce maps including the gathering of field data.
