On one of our rugged Android 12 tablets navigator opens with a blank white screen and just stays there. This happens after working fine a few times. Only way to make it work again is to remove and reinstall the app. Anyone else gets this? Any way forward?

Hey @Y_Chau
Since you said one of, I assume you have a few, are they all on the same software update? If there's some difference there, it could be that a version no longer supports it or there's some caching issue. Would it be possible to reset the entire device to factory settings if there are no pending updates?

Hi @CodyPatterson, I noticed this behavior earlier as well but then i narrowed it down to location access on Android. I saw that if the location is off on this device, navigator would produce a white screen or would just crash. Logically it should ask you to turn on location and then proceed, like field maps does.
Returning to the current situation, even if location is on I still get this white screen on this tablet. If location is off the app crashes. I will try to factory reset the device and test again. I am also testing it on another Android phone. This is a consumer device, therefore has better hardware specs. But the tablet too is OK in terms of hardware. I never faced any issues running any other Esri app on it.
Thanks
Hi @Y_Chau ,
This is an issue that comes up occasionally with some devices (it will be resolved in a future release of Navigator), one workaround that frequently works for people is to put the device in airplane mode before opening Navigator. That will usually allow the map to load and then you can go back into connected mode once the app is running again.
Less frequently I've seen it happen with very large mmpks as well, sometimes they take a long time to load and can end up stuck on the white screen. If going into airplane mode doesn't work, you could also try reducing the mmpk file size if it is feasible to clip it down to a smaller area.
I hope that helps!
