Deprecated Minimalist Instant App Missing Search Bar

I know the Minimalist template has been deprecated, but this morning I noticed that search bars are missing on the 2 active apps that I have that use that template. Anyone else experiencing issues? I know that there will be no new updates, but I didn't expect to start losing functionality.
