Arc Online map content availability in StoryMaps

My University limits my StoryMaps access level, but we have an institutional license with ArcGIS Online. I've saved my maps in that space, but when I try to add a map from "my content", none of the saved maps in my ArcGIS Online account appear there. I've ensured that they're accessible/shared with "everyone" and I've cleared my cache, as per other troubleshooting suggestions. 

How can I upload my Arc map content into StoryMaps or effectively transfer them from ArcGIS Online to StoryMaps?

@Hannah_H - If you have shared your maps with Everyone, you should see them when you select Public content when adding a map. 

From there, you can search for specific items by name or itemID. If you want to see all the content from a particular account, you can search owner:[username] (without the brackets).
