Within the catalog pane, in Portal, when you add layers from AGOL/portal/wherever you're adding layers, it would be awesome to be able to see authoritative/deprecated tags on the content that appears.
Hello @laurentideicesheet ,
Thank you for your feedback. You can indeed already see the authoritative/deprecated tags on portal items - when you hover over an item such tags will show in the item info popup, for example:
The portal items in the Catalog pane can also be filtered by their status:
Does this address your needs?
Hi @NaicongLi !! That's close to what I was asking-- it would be nice to see it on the first page of results, not by hovering, so you can see it all at once. Similar to arcgis online!
Hi @laurentideicesheet ,
You can use a Catalog view in ArcGIS Pro to have this all-at-once view of items with their badges:
You have the same view in browse dialog boxes as well:
Unlike Catalog views and browse dialog boxes, the default, typical size of the Catalog pane is much narrower; people usually position the Catalog pane next to a map view, with the Catalog pane taking up only some narrow space. The basis for the design of information display in the Catalog pane is therefore different, with badges, item type, owner, modified time, and so on showing in the popup - because there is not enough room horizontally to show them, without taking up too much space where item title is being displayed.
We are closing this idea thread because of the typical width limitation of the Catalog pane, and because of the already existing capabilities of Catalog views. Thank you again for your feedback.
