Summary

The ArcGIS Defense Mapping product data files patch for ArcGIS Pro 3.4.0.1 is available to download from My Esri.

 

Description

To download Esri software, go to the My Organizations tab, then click the Downloads sub tab. You must have permission to download software to access the Downloads sub tab. If you do not see this sub tab, you may need to request permissions.

Notes

• These files are appropriate for use with any patch version of ArcGIS Pro 3.4.
• This is a full install of the product data files which includes all updated and previously released configuration files.
• Any edits made to configuration files should be preserved before installing this update.
  
  

Updates

The product files that ship with the Defense Mapping extension have been updated to account for the following:

Colors

1. Evasion Chart (EVC)—Refined low visibility light requirements by swapping remaining cyan and green 346 colors with EVC blue and green 355, respectively.

   Note:
   Layer names and symbology property titles were updated to reflect this change.

2. The spot color for components in Ski Jump-, Conveyor-, and Bridge Superstructure-type features has been corrected in style and layout files to Blue072.

Symbology

1. Bridge points with “NULL” Rotation values display a correct default offset.
2. The layout (.pagx) files have a new SYM_AUX default field for text-driven symbology such as streets and leader lines. Formerly, the TXT and ZI006_MEM fields were used, but were not always found on all layers needing text-driven symbology.

   Note:
   The values for SYM_AUX are not case-sensitive.

3. Symbology for dams in the Joint Operations Graphic (JOG) map product has been added.
4. An issue with the Geopolitical Entity / buffer zone (surface) symbol has been fixed.

Elements

The World Magnetic Model (WMM) .xml file used by the north arrow elements for Image City Maps (ICM) and compass rose elements for EVCs was updated for 2025.

Masking

The dark brown (dk-brown202) masking rules have been adjusted to display correctly with cyan masks used for roads.

The rule files for the following map product types were adjusted:

• EVC
• JOG
• Operational Navigation Chart (ONC)
• Topographic Map (TM)
• Tactical Pilotage Chart (TPC)
• MGCP Topographic Map (MTM)

Topology

Topology rules are now available for use in map products using the Multinational Geospatial Co-production Program (MGCP) Urban Vector Data (MUVD) schema.
