Measure tool not loading in ExB

Question

Good morning,

In both the live app and the editor, the measure tool does not load, just has the moving "loading" bars. I have removed, re-added, reconfigured etc but all with the same outcome. It did previously work. Is this a known issue and are there any fixes/workarounds please?

Hi Clint, thanks for your reply. Sorry, I should have been clearer, the measure widget in ExB. It has previously worked so I am unsure what has changed! I have now raised a support case so will report back if I get a solution. Agree that there is much to do on this widget but having it back functional would be a start 🙂

Hi, are you talking about the Measure widget or the measure tool in the Map window?  I have never used the tool in the map window, but did check several of my ExB apps and the measure widget it working as expected.

There are many short comings in the Measure widget that should be addressed by the Esri developers for a future release.  First and foremost, there is a need to be able to log or label individual segments of a multi segment linear measurement.  There have also been suggestions to change the units, as mentioned in a previous post, I think they have units like cm and mm, but don't have useful mapping measurements like chains, links, and rods.  This widget needs to be completely revised in my opinion.
