Saving a map and all layers locally and then be able to repost to AGOL

Question

I have a web map in ArcGIS Online with some associated layers, tables etc.

This map is used in an experience.

I want to download the map, layers, tables (that have relationships with them), etc to my local computer.

Be able to make a bunch of changes in the layers and tables offline.

Then send it all back up to AGOL.

Is there a work flow for this?

Hi @Heberlyeng,

yes, that can be done, but its not without risks. If export is enabled, you could export each layer or table, and later overwrite them. The risk is that they may not retain all of the properties that were configured, which can mean repeating work that was done before.

There could be more efficient ways to do the same thing.

Are you planning to work with the data in ArcGIS Pro?

Another option is to open the map in ArcGIS Pro and make the changes there, which eliminates the need to export/overwrite the data.
