Widgets Not Appearing in Instant App - Is this a bug?

I found a similar post from late 2022 that was solved, but I feel that the issue has resurfaced. I created an interactive legend app around October 2024 and everything worked. I recently found that the widgets are gone from the app.

1) I have my layers unhidden in my map

2) While configuring, I toggled on these widgets: search bar, bookmark, export, and basemap toggle

3) I made sure to publish

Again, the widgets originally showed on the app and worked correctly, but none of the widgets show up now. I even tried to make a 2nd version of my app and still no widgets. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you

You can open the browser developer tools then look at the console section to see if there are any warnings about layers not loading.

Also inspect your web map in the map viewer and ensure all layers are loading

Thanks, Mike. I appreciate the suggestion. I'm still going to follow up on this and double check my Portal version in case this could impact other apps

Thank you, Kelly. I used the developer window and your suggestion of checking all layers loading. I had an old table in my web map that wasn't loading. Just never thought to check the tables section, or the idea that it would cause widgets to not load. Especially since non of the widgets pointed to that table. I appreciate your help on this! Best

Unfortunately not. It has data we would not want the public seeing. How can you tell if a layer is "invalid"?

Is this on your enterprise Portal? There was a patch for 11.3 that broke Instant Apps and ESRI supplied an updated patch that fixed the issue. Not sure if your situation falls into this scenario.

Is your app public? If so can you share the app? One possible issue could be invalid layers in your map that could be preventing the widgets from loading.
